Stakeholders

The conference is an initiative of Boundless Southern Africa, a Transfrontier Conservation
Area (TFCA) 2010 programme of the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism,
South Africa.  South Africa was mandated by the Ministers of Tourism and Environment of
Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe to
implement the TFCA 2010 Development Strategy.

The investment and infrastructure projects have been identified by the stakeholders for each
TFCA in collaboration with the Peace Parks Foundation and V&L Landscape Architects based
on the existing conservation and tourism plans developed for the respective TFCAs.

The projects are currently being profiled and assessed by Bigen Africa, Grant Thornton and
Deloitte. Their findings will be available on this website shortly. The International Task Group
for the TFCAs consisting of government representatives of all 9 countries has been
established to assist with procurement and tender process queries following the investor conference.

Omega Investment Research has been appointed as the event manager for the investment conference, which involves the promotion of the identified investment projects to interested investors and the facilitation of B2B meetings.
